Terms of Use
What does opening an account commit me to?
Registering or playing at Gatineau Casino means you accept these Terms of Use.
This agreement between you and Gatineau Casino covers every visit to our Lobby, Live Casino, Jackpots, Promotions and VIP Club. It works alongside our Bonus Terms, How We Handle Your Data, Cookie Policy, Staying in Control, Underage Gambling Policy and Anti-Money Laundering Policy. If you disagree with these terms, please do not use the site.
Which law applies?
Canadian law, including the law in force in Quebec, applies to these terms.
Our base is Gatineau, Quebec. The laws in force in Quebec, along with federal Canadian law, govern any dispute concerning these terms or how you use our site. You keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections in your home jurisdiction.
Can these terms change?
Yes, and we tell you before a material change takes effect.
We update these terms whenever the law, our products or our payment methods change. For any significant update, you receive an email or a message on screen when you next log in. If you play on once an updated version takes effect, it applies to you.
How many accounts can I have?
One account per person, opened with true and up to date details.
Gatineau Casino allows a single account per player. To sign up, you supply the name that appears on your official ID, your birth date, your residential address, an email and a password known only to you. We check your identity, and confirm that gambling online is permitted under the laws of your home jurisdiction, before processing any first deposit. If a player turns out to hold several accounts, we shut down every extra one, and any balance remaining there is dealt with under our Anti-Money Laundering Policy.
How do I make a complaint?
Email support@gatineaucasino.app with the details.
Tell us what went wrong, the exact date and time, and the game or transaction concerned. We investigate and email you our decision with a full explanation. If you still disagree, reply directly and a more senior member of our team will reexamine the case.
How do deposits and withdrawals work?
All accounts run in Canadian dollars (CAD), with no casino fees.
- Deposits: Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Google Pay, Online Banking / Trustly, MuchBetter and Neosurf. Minimum C$20.
- Withdrawals: Interac e-Transfer and Online Banking / Trustly. Minimum C$10. We set no maximum withdrawal limit.
- Timing: with most methods, payouts reach you within one to four hours; a bank wire may need up to 12 hours.
Gatineau Casino takes no fee when you deposit or withdraw, though your card issuer or bank may apply charges of its own. All payments must use a method held in your name, and withdrawals are released once identity checks are complete.
How do bonuses fit in?
Bonuses follow our separate Bonus Terms.
Conditions such as wagering and expiry apply to the welcome offer, Promotions and Gatineau Rewards credits. You will find them on our Bonus Terms page, which is part of this agreement.
How are game outcomes decided?
A random number generator decides Lobby game results; real dealers run Live Casino games.
In our Lobby and Jackpots sections, the outcome of every slot and other digital game comes from random number generator (RNG) software. Live Casino tables are broadcast from a studio, and their results are decided by the dealer's play at the table. Each game's rules and payouts are listed in its information panel. If a malfunction occurs, every affected play and payout is void, and stakes on unfinished rounds are refunded.
Who can play?
Adults aged 19 or older, located in Canada, where local law permits it.
Gatineau Casino is open solely to players in Canada aged 19 or over. We provide our service only in jurisdictions that allow online play, and we follow Canadian rules for age verification, identity checks and anti-money laundering. Accounts opened by underage users are closed as soon as we identify them, in keeping with our Underage Gambling Policy.
How far does our liability go?
We answer for running the casino properly, not for events outside our control.
Gatineau Casino bears no liability where a loss is due to a problem with your device or internet connection, to slow processing by third-party payment providers, or to events outside our reasonable control. If a play is voided due to a malfunction or a breach of these terms, no winnings are paid on it. Each of these limitations applies only to the degree that Canadian law allows.
Who owns the content?
Gatineau Casino and our game suppliers own everything on the site.
Our name, logos, design, text and software, together with games licensed from suppliers, are protected by intellectual property law. You may use them for personal play only. Copying, reselling or reverse engineering any of it is not permitted.
What is not allowed?
Cheating, fraud and misuse of the site lead to voided play and account closure.
- Having a bot, script or other program play in your place
- Colluding with other players or sharing accounts
- Using stolen cards or another person's payment methods
- Taking advantage of software errors rather than reporting them
- Hiding your location or identity
- Money laundering or other unlawful activity
When such conduct is detected, the plays concerned are voided, the account is closed and, where the law requires, the matter is reported to the authorities.
